Be encouraged, friend . . .

Here are some verses from the Bible that have been a comfort to many.  As you read them, try turning them into a prayer.

​

Take this scripture for example: "Come unto Me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."   

​

Lord, I come to You with my burdens. Please give me Your rest.  

In Jesus name, Amen.

​

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
"
Let thy widows trust in me."  (Jeremiah 49:11)

 

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)

 

"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, surely I will help you.  Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

 

“Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.  Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

For your Maker is your husband—the Lord Almighty is His name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth."  (Isaiah 54:4-5 NIV)

 

 

"He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing."  (Deuteronomy 10:18 NKJV)
